Delmar & Pearlie

This was originally a small black & white picture taken in a photo booth at Indiana Beach in 1944. Mom sent it off to get enlarged and colorized.

Welcome

I have been interested in family history since I was a little girl. Being the youngest my mother spent more time rocking me and telling me her family stories.

After my mother passed I realized how little I had documented and began actively researching. This was back in the days of scrolling through microfiche and dusty old books.

Now, with the internet, we have a world of information available from the comfort of our home. I am hoping by documenting our history the younger generation will become more interested.

About Me

Most of my life was spent raising my three children. I was a stay-at-home mom for 22 years and have been divorced for some time.

I had vitek proplast-teflon implants placed in my face after a jaw injury. They were defective, contaminated, and recalled by the FDA

After years of struggle it became necessary for me go on disability. I live with constant pain and illness. Yet...

I choose to be content in the Lord.“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12

I try to blog and share when I have the strength. I write two blogs: This is my Journey and Journey of the Heart. I contribute on HeartCry, Recipes and For a Brighter Day.

Blessings, Bren
