When Pearlie Castle was born on January 21, 1924, in Floyd, Kentucky, her father, Elbert, was 49, and her mother, Katie, was 30.
She married Delmar Darwin Dawson on April 14, 1944, in Crown Point, Indiana. They had five children during their marriage.
She died on May 13, 1988, in Monticello, Indiana, at the age of 64, and was buried in Rensselaer, Indiana.
Her Father Elbert owned the only store within a 20-mile radius in the mountains of Kentucky. He also owned a large farm.
Her father Elbert passed away on September 4, 1926, in Martin, Kentucky, at the age of 52.

in Floyd County Kentucky.
Pearlie Castle lived in Barkley township, Indiana, in 1930. Her half-brother, Austin Lee "Bud" Sexton 26 Jun 1930 in Rensselaer, Indiana. The family moved back to Kentucky in 1931. Dalphine Sexton was born, 6 Oct 1932. Haseltean Sexton was born 3 Apr 1935. Both were born in Hueysville, Floyd County, Kentucky.
They moved to Michigan in 1936. Her mother Katie passed away on June 14, 1937, in Clayton, Michigan, at the age of 44.
Pearlie Castle married Delmar Darwin Dawson in Crown Point, Indiana, on April 14, 1944, when she was 20 years old.
Pearlie Castle died on May 13, 1988, in Monticello, Indiana, when she was 64 years old. She is buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rensselaer, Indiana.
